USA Schools Are a Joke?

ASCDSmartBrief.com announced the results of a study that shows that drop-out rates in U.S public schools have remained “stagnant”.

According to Anna Habash, of Education Trust:

“The U.S. is stagnating while other industrialized countries are surpassing us. And that is going to have a dramatic impact on our ability to compete.”

Hmmm! Sound familiar?

The report goes on to say that the USA is the ONLY industrialized country where students are less likely than their parents to graduate.

Well, the problem is NOT going to be resolved politically! We’ve already seen the results of government interference in public education.

With the Stimulus Package for Education, the Department of Education grows fatter and we are STILL not facing the issues of what’s really wrong with education.

It’s all very well to concentrate on building new science and math labs, repairing (or tearing down) old school buildings and replacing them with modern facilities, but . . .

How much good are science and math labs when students can’t READ or perform basic MATH?

We the People are going to have to do something, like The Kingsland Plan, or face the consequences.
